Tall grass along Greene Co. highway obstructs views

Mother Nature is being blamed for tall, out-of-control grass and weeds that have some drivers complaining about obstructed visibility.

TDOT says the contractor it works with to mow the medians along U.S. Highway 11E in Greene County is scheduled to mow three times.

The contractor has already mowed once this season, but all the rain in July has made the grass grow higher and faster.

Greene County officials have been getting several phone calls about the issue.

The second mowing is scheduled to start Monday.
