A Jefferson County deputy has been fired after being charged with driving under the influence over the weekend.

According to the sheriff, Deputy Chelsea Bolin was driving her personal car Sunday night while off duty when she wrecked it.

Dandridge Police worked the crash because it was within city limits. Bolin was charged with D.U.I. because she appeared to be under the influence.

Bolin was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries before being taken to jail.

She made bond this morning and was fired.

Bolin had been with the department for two years.
