Two Jefferson Co. Schools closed Monday due to water line break

(WBIR) Jefferson County High School and Patriot Academy will be closed Monday due to a water line issue, according to Julie Baker with Jefferson County Schools.

"Due to a serious water line break, the Shady Grove Utility District will not be able to furnish water tomorrow (Monday) for the fire suppression system at Jefferson County high school," the schools said in a statement to 10News.

TBI investigates possible homicide in Greene Co.

3rd District Attorney General Dan Armstrong has asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to look into a possible homicide in Greene County.

Someone called 911 on Thursday morning to report that a man was shot at a home on Cumberland Drive in Tusculum.

When officers arrived, they found the body of 64-year-old David Lineberry.

Deputies say they don't have a suspect at this time.

The TBI is leading the investigation.

Investigators sent Lineberry's body to Johnson City for an autopsy.

Deputies: Women high on drugs pass out with baby in car

Deputies caught two women passed out in a car outside the Greene County jail. They suspect they were doing drugs, with a baby in the back seat.

According to court documents, deputies arrested Jessica Harr, 25, and Tinika Pickel, 21, on Wednesday. They were parked outside on the street, waiting for Harr's boyfriend who was in court next door.

Deputies say the two appeared to be high and had drugs and drug paraphernalia on them.

Greene County man charged with statutory rape

A Greene County man is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Jason Hickman, 31, is charged with aggravated statutory rape because he's more than 10 years older than the victim.

The crime happened on or around Oct. 25, according to an arrest warrant.

A judge set Hickman's bail at $50,000.
